We build hypersonic capability differently: end-to-end, tested in the real world and proven before promised, so Europe can own a sovereign, affordable deterrent in years, not decades.
The founding story
I grew up outside Munich. When I was small, my dad used to take me to the technology museum, and I’d stand in front of the aircraft and the space capsules. That’s where it started.
The other thing I grew up with is that freedom is not for free. If you want safety, security, prosperity, democracy, you have to live those values at home and be able to defend them from outside. I came close to becoming an officer. I decided I could contribute more through technology.
So I studied physics in Munich, then went to Oxford for a PhD in hypersonics, researching the flows around the geometries you find on intercontinental ballistic missiles. This was well before Ukraine. We could see what Russia and China were building, and we understood why.
That is where I met Marc. Same doctorate, same field, the same read on what was coming. What follows is his story as much as mine.
Europe had nothing. One step below the nuclear threshold, nothing at all. What Europe needed was one company that gathered up the little hypersonics expertise there is and built the capability quickly, because we don’t have fifteen years and ten billion euros to spend.
Nobody believed us. We were told we were a PowerPoint construct, like all the others. In February we flew. Mach 6, nine months from a blank sheet, every system nominal. The most valuable thing we proved was that our claims were true.
